Every student is known and cared for. Our pastoral system, led by house parents, tutors and school leadership, ensures each student’s academic, emotional and spiritual wellbeing is closely supported.
A dedicated tutor system ensures every student has a trusted adult who monitors their academic progress, emotional wellbeing and personal development throughout their time at Southgate. Our chaplaincy programme further supports students’ spiritual growth alongside their academic and personal journey, and our pastoral team pays particular attention to the pressures of adolescence, examinations and important decisions about the future.
